This class explored the relationship between text and image on the printed and drawn page. Images were created and read for their narrative potential and text for its compositional possibilities. Subject matter was explored through the use of hand-set type, silkscreen, photopolymer plates, and linoleum blocks printed on the Vandercook SP-15 cylinder proof press as well as more immediate techniques such as stencils and collage.
